Build the one sentence that makes your ideal customer think 'that's exactly what I need.'
From the Branding Blueprint course, Module 4: Creating Irresistible Offers
Your brand promise is the bridge between your customer's problem and your solution. It's not a tagline, it's the core message that drives everything from your website copy to your sales conversations.
The external problem is what your customer would type into Google. It's the surface-level issue they can describe out loud.
Tip
Examples: “My website doesn't get any traffic” / “I can't find a reliable plumber” / “I need new activewear that actually fits”
The internal problem is the real reason they buy. It's the emotion behind the Google search, the frustration, fear, or aspiration they might not say out loud.
Tip
Examples: “I feel invisible online and it's embarrassing” / “I'm scared of getting ripped off again” / “I want to feel confident at the gym”
What does your audience currently believe that's wrong? What myth can you bust to position your solution as different and better?
Tip
Examples: “You don't need to spend thousands on SEO to rank on Google” / “The cheapest quote isn't always the best value” / “You don't need to sacrifice style for comfort”
Now combine everything into one powerful statement:
“I help [audience] who want to [solve problem] by [unique solution].”
Digital Agency:
“I help small business owners who want to stop wasting money on marketing that doesn't work by teaching them the exact strategies we use with our own clients.”
Plumber:
“I help Brisbane homeowners who are tired of unreliable tradies by showing up on time, every time, with transparent pricing before we start.”
Ecommerce:
“I help eco-conscious women who want gym gear that performs and looks great by creating activewear from 100% recycled ocean plastic.”
